Duality, polarity and life

There are always two sides to a story.

What makes us great is being able to see both sides of the coin.

To analyse, understand and then, to act accordingly.

Metta or compassion should always be used, when dealing with others.

But did you know that true Metta or compassion must always begin with the self.

A year or more ago at a Dharma talk, the monk spent 30 minutes discussing what compassion is.

Many of us believe it is giving to others, generosity and selflessness.

But what are we and what do we have to give, if we cannot love ourselves?

I am not talking about material objects, although it can be, if that is what floats your boat.

Everyone finds happiness and compassion in different aspects of life.

Understanding these differences in others, can be a key to happiness and inner harmony.

Human design or the Science of Differentiation help me to understand what those differences are.

And when I feel like my self love tank is low, I practice Metta meditation to get me through the hard times.
